Every 2nd of February, France celebrates La Chandeleur (Candlemas), also known as Jour des crêpes (Day of the crêpes) by, you guessed it, eating crêpes.
The holiday originates both from Catholic religion (it’s exactly 40 days after Christmas). Nowadays, it’s mostly just a reason to eat crêpes! 

We will celebrate it at the German Club, 57 Winkworth St. It will be on Sunday 2nd of February between 4pm and 6 pm. This will be a fundraiser to help the Alliance Française to start a strong year. The admission is $10 per person (includes yummy crepes) and drinks will be available to purchase on the day. We will also play some board games so bring your favorite one along! 

No online booking required, just come on the day with your admission fee (exact change is always appreciated!)
