Put your thinking béret on and test your knowledge of all things French.

Questions are in English & there are prizes to be won.

All you have to do is make up a team of 4 people with a French name.

Participants will learn to prepare a 3 course meal, using simple techniques, which David will demonstrate and explain.

The menu is designed so that it can easily be re-created at home, using easy to find ingredients.

The class is designed to be hands on: you will chop, peel, slice, stir....you may want to bring an apron.

Numbers are stricly limited to a maximum of 12 participants. So book early!

Time: 08:45 (for 9am start) to 1pm

Cost per person:

$75 for Members of the Alliance Française de Cairns

$80 for non members

This includes all ingredients and you get to enjoy your meal at the end of the class.

One glass of wine per person is also included.

Every Saturday morning, members of the French community in Cairns, and those interested in France or wishing to practice their French, meet for coffee and conversation from 11 to 12 noon.

Dundee's is located on the Waterfront, at Harbour Lights (between the Hilton Hotel and the Pier).

Parking: parking is available at Harbour Lights- enter the Harbour Lights car park (opposite the Hilton Hotel) and park in the area marked "restaurants".

 Pétanque Sundays

On the last Sunday of every month, from 4.30 pm, we meet at the Pétanque court on the Esplanade (cnr Esplanade and MacKenzie Street) for a game of pétanque and a BBQ (bring your own food) to watch the sunset over the coral sea. Don’t worry if you do not have your own set of boules, or do not know how to play: there is always someone happy to show you how easy the game is!
